• The Athens organic sofa collection has a stylish, modern design that is low and lounge-worthy, with a generous inside seat depth and a back that is high enough to be supportive for reading and watching T.V. The seat has a medium firm density. This organic sofa is long enough for a person up to 6 foot 4 to catch some shut-eye without feeling confined, and since it is armless, it can comfortably seat three adults in small areas and still have room for kids or pets. The sofa is 76″ W x 36″ D x 27″ H. Loveseat is 60″ W. Chair is 24″ W. Seat height 14.5". Inside seat depth 26". Throw pillows sold separately. Made in the USA.

• This vintage Ficks Reed rattan  loveseat has been completely stripped and reupholstered with all new ingredients and fabric. GOLS certified organic latex seat and back cushions with organic wool wrap.  Bench seat cushion and attached back cushions are in Lee Jofa Lexington Ivory which is  a 100% brushed cotton twill that has been preshrunk. The two Euro style throw pillows are filled with organic wooly bolas and the cover fabric has hidden zippers so covers can be removed and laundered. The fabric is  a slub cotton with low impact dyes. Overall length=62", overall depth =33", overall height =32", inside seat depth=22.5", seat height= 18".  The seat cushion  is a medium density latex. The area with sign of wear is at the front base on left side when facing the loveseat and it is not highly visible.

• Ficks Reed was an American producer of high end wicker and bamboo furniture until the mid 1990's when the company shuttered.

• Add button back tufting to the back cushions of the Tom and Athens styles for a touch of distinction. The tufting is fastened with a fabric covered button. It can be added to styles with tight back cushions only (that is the Tom and Athens collections). Buttons can be covered in the same fabric as the upholstery fabric or in a contrasting fabric for a bit of whimsy. A double row of tufting can be added for double the up-charge. (Button back tufting comes standard on the Jamestown.)

• Our Islamorada Kapok pillow is crafted in Canada in a BSCI factory. BSCI provides a system that helps companies gradually improve working conditions in their supply chain. The outer fabric is  233 thread count 100% cotton and Oeko-tex 100 – certified.  This cloud-like pillow is filled with Grade A silky kapok fiber making it lightweight, soft, and pure. Sold in a drawstring bag that is made from the same fabric as the pillow ticking.

Spot clean with pure soap and a damp cloth. To launder, use a minimal amount of pure soap in cold water on a gentle cycle with an extensive rinse cycle. • Main Line Flax builds a bast fiber to create a new inherently flame-retardant fabric from sustainable sources. No chemical flame retardants or topically applied treatments, just pure wool and flax. One of the attributes of this wool-rich fabric is that liquids tend to bead up on the face of the fabric to give one time to blot a spill. A symbol of purity, wild flax has been used in textiles for thousands of years thanks to its strong, long, and smooth fibers found inside the stem of the plant. The fiber is spun into a 70/30 wool/flax blend, then fiber dyed using low-impact dyes to create a beautiful mixture of yarns which are woven into interesting solids and cross-colors inspired by the rich tones of rare jewels. This incredibly durable fabric is great for heavy-duty residential end use as well as in a contract environment. The fabric will naturally allow the upholstered pieces to meet the strict criteria for use in public settings. Made in England. Five (5) yard minimum order.

• Because dust and dirt cause fabric to wear faster, we recommend vacuuming regularly with an upholstery attachment. An annual professional vapor cleaning will keep your upholstered furniture looking its best. Avoid placing your upholstered furniture in direct sunlight or in front of a gas heater to minimize fading. Dark fabrics and natural fibers like cotton are most susceptible to fading.
  
  For isolated spots or stains: Blot stains or spills with an absorbent white cloth and distilled water only. Do not rub the stain into the fabric, blot it. Clean with a water-based cleaning agent: Depending on the stain, you can use the foam of a mild detergent or upholstery shampoo.

• Customize your new upholstery piece, by choosing a beautiful solid maple, mid-century leg made in the USA. Available for all collections except the Chatham English Arm (for aesthetic reasons). The mid-century leg is available in solid maple wood in a range of beautiful, Natural Rubio Monocoat Oil Finish colors. Legs shown are 5" in height and have no finish on them; 4" and 6" legs are also available to raise or lower seat height. Legs are also available in other wood species, such as walnut, cherry and mahogany. If you choose a wood species other than maple, we recommend using the Pure (Clear) Rubio Monocoat finish.  

• Our mid-century legs are finished using beautiful, Natural Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C Finish. Choose from Pure (Clear), Cherry Coral, Walnut, Espresso (custom blend), and Charcoal colors. Finish applied to different wood species will react and present differently from color samples shown. If you choose a wood species other than maple, we recommend using Pure (Clear) Rubio Monocoat finish – to let the natural wood color be your desired shade.

• Ecopell Nappa - is chromium-free and vegetable-tanned leather. Its subtle elegant appearance, its pleasant grip, and its tart-fresh scent are the result of a manufacturing process that combines traditional tanneries with modern technical procedures. Ecopell uses only heavy metal-free paints. Inputs that harm human and environmental health are not used. Due to the naturalness of Ecopell Nappa, the leather gets a natural patina through light, time, and touch. The colors can become brighter or darker over time. Ecopell thinks that naturalness mustn’t be hidden and that individuality is a sign of quality. That is why Ecopell leather shows marks of an entire cow's life and is neither embossed nor sealed with plastics. It is akin to an apple from natural cultivation which differs in individual form and unevenness from that of an industrially produced apple that appears ‘perfect’ but has wax and artificial light manipulating its surface. it is, also, the same difference between naturally tanned leather and industrially processed leather. Ecopell leather can scratch and stain.

• Remove dust and light dirt with a damp cloth regularly. Assuming normal use the leather needs its first specially developed refresher after 2-4 years depending upon usage. For Ecopell Nappa, they recommend their refresher.
